Statwars® Climate Change Challenge

The STATWARS Climate Change Challenge vision is to empower and educate pupils to tackle climate change, by providing a project that delivers meaningful and engaging mathematics, numeracy and data literacy to pupils!

Educating settings across the UK are eager for help in delivering better climate education, mitigating their climate impact, improving their biodiversity and adapting to the extremes of weather associated with the changing climate.

The Climate Ambassador scheme is a growing network of skilled and trained individuals who are providing free support to education settings across England to develop and deliver impactful climate action plans which cover four themes, as set out by the Department for Education: decarbonisation, adaptation & resilience, biodiversity and climate education & green careers. There is a wide range of support available to help you in your role as a Climate Ambassador, which will be coordinated via your Regional Hub. This includes core training with further upskilling modules, easily accessible resources to use at education settings, and further CPD opportunities and networking.

If you have a passion for sustainability, want to make a genuine difference to your community and inspire future generations to take climate action then sign up here to become a Climate Ambassador. If you would like more information, please contact your North East Regional Hub climateambassadors.ne@newcastle.ac.uk.
